Prayers for your family. Your dad was awesome and I was privileged to be able to meet him a couple of times over the years. His posts revealed that he had grown in wisdom and insight over the years. He did have a unique ability to wordsmith just right. He will be missed on the forum.

Scott, Just now got on Aldeer since Thursday. This was the first post that I read. I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your father here on this side of eternity. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I always enjoyed reading your father's posts. They showed that he was a man full of wisdom and insight. They also showed that he loved God and his family. I can tell you this for sure. Losing a parent is something you never fully get over. Time helps to heal the hurt but the deep wound of loss will always be there. This coming December will be 5 years ago that I lost my mother. It's easier now than when it first happened but it still hurts. Will keep you all lifted up in our prayers.

Sorry to hear this. I lost my dad 6 yrs ago and I leaves a big hole in your heart and your life. Just know that he is and will be right beside you still pointing you in the right direction. Prayers sent for comfort for you and your family.
