I don't even own a suit. No plans of buying one as well. Sometimes I like to get dressed up and wear my tuxedo tshirt. Let's people know I'm formal but like to party.
Is that you Cal? Me?? Not me but I don’t own a suit either and I absolutely despise a tie!!

Being bald since 20 yo I wear a hat almost the entire time I am awake. It helps with the sun and cold. I didn't wear it at grandmas table because my grandpa didn't wear his. Times have changed, as you would not find them eating at a restaurant, so I don't know if he would have removed his then or not. I think work has something to do with it, when you come in from the fields for dinner like I did with my grandpa, the hats came off and it was time to rest a few minutes. Most jobs these days are not labor intensive and that few minutes of rest don't mean as much to most folks.

I'm more impressed maybe even envious that this is the magnitude of your woes. Playing fashion cop doesn't add any benefit to my life.
Times change for better or worse, just the way it is. If you was ever in the military you'd understand. Wearing a cover inside, other than ceremonial, is a big no no! It's just something traditional that we come to appreciate. There's a professionalism and curtousy that comes with military bearing. Call us old fashioned, but it is like good manners that momma taught us.

I hate making a good first impression. There’s no way I can keep that shit up.

my momma would of snatched that hat(and a few hairs) off yer head at the table in under 2 nanoseconds. One did not make that mistake twice.
wearing a hat at the eating table is a sign of bad manners and poor raising.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Some smartass youngsters on here obviously didn’t get that at home. I flew a few months ago and was surprised at how many people were wearing sweat pants or pajama bottoms. I were khakis and a collared shirt and boots. I wear boots in case I have to kick my way out of a crash landing in case of total engine failure. I know the odds are against surviving but it just makes me feel better.

I wear a hat everyday. T-Fri. I work a full time job Saturday Sunday and Monday I work around my place mowing, bushhogging, fixing fences ,spraying fence lines, messing with cows, keeping both my grandma's place up. So I'm usually sweaty when I eat lunch so the hat stays on. These are the places I don't wear my hat , church, funerals, court room, Sunday dinners at my grandparents, and other formal stuff. 90% of the time there's a hat on my head.

I'm guilty as charged I'll wear a hat in Ruth Chris and any other place besides church services funerals and weddings but I'll have a firm hand shake and eye greet while I'm in there

I was not admitted into the Mons Venus in Tampa one night because I would not remove my cap.

If I ran a restaurant I wouldn't allow them, either.

Sometimes you just have to. First strip club i ever went to. Its ruined the experience at every other one, and I went in with gym shorts and a T-shirt, and drank beer out of a cooler in the parking lot cause I wasnt 21. Ever ride the rocket at 2001 Odyssey?

If grown young men can walk around with the crack of they azzes showing. I’ll by gum wear any kinda hat I want to wherever I want to. If it’s not cool with the establishment I’ll either abide by their rules or walk on. But when the owner doesn’t have a problem then everyone else can pound sand.

If you were to look at me & another fella on here that you all know on a day to day basis, you'd know we ain't members of the fashion cops. That being said Mr. Soalturks, I agree with what you're saying. It's just the in general lack of respect people now have for others & even themselves these days. I remember the last military chartered flight I was on many years ago because my dad was in the AF. We departed kadena ,Okinawa & every soul on board that United Boeing 707 was either in formal military dress or suits & ties. The ladies wore very nice dresses & kids like me were in our best. And because of the times we now live in, I guess that I should add that I don't recall seeing any Klinger's on board.
