Wearing a cover inside, other than ceremonial, is a big no no!
It's just something traditional that we come to appreciate.
There's a professionalism and curtousy that comes with military bearing.
Call us old fashioned, but it is like good manners that momma taught us.



Damn right! And Daddy taught me to hate rude behavior in a man. We didn’t have much but we damn sure had manners. Some smartass youngsters on here obviously didn’t get that at home.

I flew a few months ago and was surprised at how many people were wearing sweat pants or pajama bottoms. I were khakis and a collared shirt and boots. I wear boots in case I have to kick my way out of a crash landing in case of total engine failure. I know the odds are against surviving but it just makes me feel better.
