Son and I went to the country yesterday afternoon moving a load of firewood and getting game cam and another task or two. I was surprised we didn't see a legless lizard. We even went to a spot where you can usually see a gator in warm weather and were skunked on that. Not complaining about going snakeless though.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Agreed One em' Yankee rattlesnakes Had a rattle snake with the same markings in a pile of leaves rattle at me - blew his head off with a 12 ga. and then discovered that it was a rat snake; felt bad. Discovered they will shake their tales like a rattler to scare you off but unfortunately for him he did it in a pile of leaves.

There’s a fair number of those not-good snakes out in Choccolocco. Better watch your step when it gets warm out there. Had one almost whack my leg about 5 years ago turkey hunting there. Definitely sold me on wearing snake boots when the temps get warm and I’m out in the woods.

Should have killed that top one, or caught it and took it to church sunday. They shall take up serpents..... Maybe them Baptist wimmens can promise they will follow that submissive thing if all the men agree to handle snakes. Some of those scriptures make it a challenge to be a true believer.
