Am I the only one hunting today? Watched a couple of KS strutters head towards the roost yesterday. I'm not sure exactly where they went, but they can't be far.
I need more turkey to carry my starving family through the long hard winter ahead. It is a real sacrifice to hunt this hard, but I love them enough to do it. Good luck to anyone else going today.

Do it for your family preacher. Lol
There are a few folks I’m aware of in Nebraska right now that post here often, I’m sure there are more that i don’t know of too.

Had one tearing it up behind the house this morning. Took all my willpower not to go try and shut him up. Heard on Saturday morn about 300yds from my front door. This was on up about 7:30 and he was still hammering. Good luck to all those still hunting. Be sure to keep the LFTW threads going! I’m living vicariously through you!

Good luck to all those still hunting. Be sure to keep the LFTW threads going! I’m living vicariously through you! Tomorrow is my b-day and unless disaster strikes, I will be attempting to keep my b-day streak alive. Depending on where I go and the corresponding cell service, I hope to be able to keep you guys up to date. Good luck Mr. Steve and the others hunting today! I'm at work...against my will.

Good lord willing Stony and I fly out the night of the 9th for our last trips of the 2018 spring turkey season. We should be hunting by the 10th if travel goes as scheduled.
Good luck to all of y'all taking a trip or already hunting!

Had one tearing it up behind the house this morning. Took all my willpower not to go try and shut him up. I pulled up at my gate a little after flydown time Saturday and heard 7 different birds gobbling. About the first time I’ve heard multiples all year and I’m pretty positive that the last 2 times I hunted up there during turkey season I never heard a single gobble.

The turkeys that I tried to hunt early never said a word. Turkeys everywhere are just unpredictable. I went to another spot about 11 and saw a turkey in a big field. I walked down next to a creek and there was a turkey gobbling in 86 degree heat. I called in 2 hens, and 3 longbeards followed them. The gobblers were so close together that I couldn't shoot without killing all of them, and they got into 15 yards before one walked away from the group. And none of these were the turkey that was gobbling; he was in the woods on the other side of the field. Guess I will try that spot again this afternoon. ![[Linked Image]](https://s14.postimg.cc/mmukt7ksh/IMG_20180507_130335.jpg) Good luck to everyone still hunting.

Congrats Mr. Steve! Man alive I would hate to know I was a gobbler and you were anywhere within 100 miles!
