I still can't believe it brother. I don't know if you and others who have been here a long time remember, but my Elijah was terribly developmentally delayed as a toddler. He was diagnosed on the autism spectrum at age 3 and could only say about 6 words. He never made eye contact. We had no idea what to expect for his future. I remember vividly being so fearful that he might not ever tell me he loves me in return. He is literally a walking, talking miracle. Specialists have offered to remove his current Asperger's diagnosis. He is 13, 6'2", and becoming a really good basketball player. He is super smart, a Godly young man, a prayer warrior, and he has a servant's heart. He has a pile of great friends, is a self-proclaimed ladies' man (they really do like him it seems LOL!) and is literally the life of the party anywhere he goes from sporting events to church youth group to hanging out with his older siblings' friends to a dove hunt at 257wbymag's place to a dusty old shop with old men! Every passing accomplishment of his is a heart-overflowing reminder for me of the faithfulness of God. This particular accomplishment was one of my all-time favorites for sure! I pray the Lord lets me remember it vividly until my last breath!
