I'm pretty sure its not the faucet.. How will a faucet drain back to get air, especially if it has pressure against it? A leak in a slab will definitely cause air in the line because the water leaking out, will draw the water past the leak out of the lines. When you open the faucet, that's the path of least resistance so the water will come rushing back, pushing out the air
Its drawing the water from the kitchen faucet because that is the closest fixture to the leak more than likely
