I've only been around half a dozen Pits in my life but they were all great dogs. They were all dogs who came from good breeders and had a quality upbringing. Friendly, playful and VERY devoted to their families. That being said, one day I was at a friend's house who owned one of these dogs. My Lab was with me too. The dogs knew each other well and had played around numerous times. This day the Pit, with no warning or provocation, decided to latch onto my Lab. He wasn't playing either. Damndest thing I'd ever seen out of a dog and I have experience with Shepherds, Dobies and Rotts.
