I feel the same way. I wouldn't trust one around my child and I sure wouldn't want one if I lived in a residential area where it might come in contact with other peoples kids. I have been a RN for 21 years. The majority of dog bite cases I have personal knowledge of involved a pit bull. "ALL" of the really serious maulings I have cared for in the ER involved a pit bull. You absolutely know it was a pit or you think it may have been a pit or you were told it was a pit. Big difference
Almost every dog attack/bite call I ever responded to in Birmingham was a dispatched and described as a pit. A few times it was and most of the time it was a mutt that didn’t even resemble a pit. That’s my point every dog bite/attack is a pit bull even when it wasnt
