I am planning a scouting trip to the Eufala Wildlife Refuge and was wondering if anyone could give me a tip on an area to concentrate on or a place to start. Thanks for hte help

There's alot of deer down there but It is very very crowded, anywhere you look you will find deer sign but get ready for when you climb a tree to have someone sitting beside you, I used to hunt the place alot, I have just about all but quit

Do you have a boat? There are a lot of areas only accessible by boat. Don't overlook all the willow thickets and heads in the duck impoundments You may no be able to get but a few feet off the ground, but there are a lot of deer in them.

It ain't what it used to be. If they would start planting the corn and soybeans again it might get better. When I first started going down there about 12 years ago you could drive through and see bucks everywhere. Now, if you see a deer from a vehicle it is running.

what they said, I went last year and every descent area i had found in the past there would be 2 or 3 trucks parked.

If you have not been there this year you may want to make a trip early we were there 2 weeks ago and they are cutting timber everywhere. There is alot of open areas now not sure if it will be worth the drive for us.

I've hunted there every year since I've been about 15 but I won't make any extra effort to get there this year

They are cuting over 1000 acres in there this year. They left a few big trees but most of it is wide open.

I've always heard the Ga side was best.They don't plant it tho.They should let people plants plots,and divid it up .Theres lots of area that could be planted.They could only allow those that planted to hunt it.
