5.3 is a long way from being a problematic engine. My first preference is a 6.0 hands down but I’d take a 5.3 over any other engine in the free world today period. In fact I’d buy those 2 before I’d take any other late model engine for free if I had to feed it and take care of it
Really? I've heard nothing but bad things about them up until 2014. Nearly everyone I know with one in that year range started using oil between 100-150k. I'm just trying to understand if the newer ones are actually fixed or if they just haven't gotten enough miles on them yet.
