Maybe I should clarify. The 5.3 that drops 4 cylinders on the hwy is notorious for oil consumption problems. I'm not saying the engine itself is bad. It's not debatable on whether this consistently happens in those particular year models. A quick Google search proves its a common issue.
My simple question is, does anyone have positive testimony on a 14 or newer with over 100k miles?
