Had a tote run a bird in Texas this year. Couldn't get on him because it was too thick Dang ol totes! Was he chasing a cald with 575 duzen arras?

I had a bobcat come from behind me (upwind) and pass me at 10yds before I ever knew she was there.... shot her at about 14 yd, no more eggs/turkey hens for that cat.

Bobcats are not out of control in Alabama and they don't do as much turkey damage as people would like to think in order to justify killing an animal simply because it walked out in front of them and also eats turkeys, like you

Most people who do this usually also leave the animal to rot right where it stood, instead of at least salvaging the hide or something from the animal. Such a waste and a sin against Nature, in my opinion, to just kill at random like that simply because an animal has the misfortune of walking out in front of you and you think it might out compete you for game. Never had much respect for people who hunt like that. It just tells me how little connected to to Nature they really are, and what kind of respect they have for it.
I never buy meat from the grocery store, ever. I only eat wild game/fish and have for years. I also haven't ever shot a predator animal simply because it walked out in front of me. The point is, you don't have to shoot every predator you see to still harvest plenty of turkeys, deer, rabbit, doves or quail.

I along with plenty of others eat wild game as our primary protein also. But we aren’t willing to share our depleting resources with the yotes, cats, coons and possums. If hawks were fair game they would be on the list also. It’s not about killing stuff just to kill it but saving every fawn, poult, quail, turkey, rabbit or any other thing we like to hunt we can. You were just complaining the other day about not having any turkeys. Well those predators you refuse to kill are taking care of them for you. Keep burrying your head in the sand and one day you will be asking where all the deer are also. But maybe you don’t care about loosing 50-80% of your fawns to predators. My son and I wasted a good morning of turkey hunting weekend before last shooting some coons we walked up on. But if I saved one turkey nest I’m good with that decision.

Again - ETA: I also personally know a member on here that will tell you I live in a "wildlife sanctuary" as he calls it because it's so plentiful in game. Never shot a predator animal either for simply walking out in front of me so you can't run that BS of how they deplete the game population by me and make me buy it for one second...especially with bobcats, because they are in no way out of control to the point they need to be shot on the spot. I have no problem shooting yotes because they're not native to our area. I used to shoot bobcats, but started asking myself why. I haven't shot one in years, and don't plan on it. They are part of a naturally occurring ecosystem that works, despite our trying to screw it up. We have no season on hens, therefore no way to control the population, nature does that all by itself.

Can you take a center fire rifle while turkey hunting along with your shotgun just in case a predator shows up?
