I don't see any grounds for a change of venue. Certainly not because you don't think you will have a favorable jury and if you even mentioned race as a factor, it wouldn't fly. I will set y'all straight about something though. The black folk in this area are just as tired of the thuggery as anyone else. It has been a long, long time since I felt that this played into a not guilty verdict. They will convict if a good case is presented.

If given 20 years, he should be eligible for parole in 7 or so, but murderers are unlikely to get paroled that early. The ones I dealt with either served the full sentence or close to it. I would like to know what the motive was also. That plays into everything.
