Prayers for your son and family. Watching your child have a seizure is such a helpless feeling. It hurts so bad to watch them suffer and not being able to help. Hopefully you will have some answers soon.

BW ,my daughter who is now 18 was diagnosed at a early age with absence seizures. These seizures are the ones where the person's just goes into a blank stare and is not aware of anything. Through a lot of different medications she is now seizure free for 2 years and has been driving which is a major accomplishment. Seizures can be effected by a number of things including a person's diet. She was under the care of Dr. Bevins in huntsville ,who I would highly recommend. I will be thinking of your son and family just hang in there it's tough but y'all can get through this.

My youngest Granddaughter has febrile seizures and it just kills my soul. Bob, your son has my continued prayers for speedy diagnosis and return to normal.

My daughter had her 5th seizure this sunday. They are extremely scary until you learn the signs for that particular child and have the medicine to get things under control. This was the first one i didn't feel like throwing up after once we finally got her stable. We have Valium suppositories they prescribed for her for if the seizure last more than few minutes we give that to her and it knocks her out and calms things down. If we catch it too late her sats drop and it gets really scary. We are learning each time and have more neuro appointments coming up. They are probably going to want to put her on seizure meds which terrifies us because we don't want her to be zonked out on medicine or lose her personality but she is now having one about every 2 months. Completely random with no triggers.
The other people who have dealt with this, yall see any behavior or personality changes when your kids got on daily seizure meds? Never realized how common and how many types of seizures there were until she had her first.
