I liked Finebaum back when he was on AM radio. He sold out to ESPN and the show has never been the same. He also has his mouth permanently on Saban’s jock. Back in the day he was giving every coach hell...including the ones at bama.
What exactly is he going to give Saban hell about? Now, the coaches before Saban deserved to catch some flack but what exactly do you say to a coach with his accomplishments? You suck for not signing the # one class again? Should have 6 rings instead of 5? 3 Heisman's instead of 2? Well, yeah you won it but you still lost to Auburn? We fully understand your hate for all things Bama has no bounds but let's be rational here. For all the Finebaum hate,Buck Johnson Harvey Updike,Wimp Sanderson,The mailroom clerk with Bama's NCAA letter,Eric Ramsey,Randy Owen....all covered by Pat Dye's favorite columnist.
On Paul's worst day he's still 438% better than Rick&Bubba. Execpt Updick (a story he didn’t break) all of those things were from when he was still a newspaper reporter and actually a journalist. He is horrible. He sold out years ago and now is a freaking joke. Clarify for me please Mr. Killer. I was listening when Harvey Bammer called in and told him what he had done. Up until then no one realized the trees had been poisoned. That started the ball rolling on verifying the poisoning and the investigation. That qualifies as breaking the story in my book. I do agree that he sold out while still in the B'ham market to be the local shock jock of sports radio. Now, with ESPN he is trying to regain some of the journalistic integrity he had as a newspaperman. It is yet to be determined if he can put the Genie back in the bottle though.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
