damn at the hypocrites on this thread. One of the most brilliant minds to ever walk this earth has passed on and so many haters on the bandwagon.
Hawking was a genius in his field. No question about that.
Being brilliant doesn't mean hooey in God's eyes, though. Either you're saved or not. If not then you're going to hell. It's pretty clear cut.
