I hope he did. Maybe so. If so, great.
More than 70 years of publicly dismissing God, saying he was the tool of the weak-minded and ignorant, and mathmatically "proving" that the universe was created by a cosmic blip tends to indicate otherwise. And if so then I figure he's burning in hell, as I stated above.

How do you know he didn’t accept Christ in his life? Because he didn’t get on the mountain top and scream it. Odds are he didn’t but I don’t know if he did or not and that’s between him and the big guy. He was a brilliant man. God rest his soul. His power chair could not have made the climb anyway. I know I'm wrong fo dat, but I couldn't resist. I hope that some way or some how he did finally accept Jesus Christ as his savior.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Odds are he didn’t but I don’t know if he did or not and that’s between him and the big guy. He was a brilliant man. God rest his soul. He was a professed atheist. A quote by the man himself: "Before we understand science, it is natural to believe that God created the universe. But now science offers a more convincing explanation. What I meant by 'we would know the mind of God' is, we would know everything that God would know, if there were a God, which there isn't. I'm an atheist." I think he was brilliant but the conversation he just had with St. Peter did not go the way he thought it would. He is probably muttering under his breath "How did I get it all so wrong?", and he walks into Hell.

Another Hawking quote regarding religion...."I'm not afraid of death, but I'm in no hurry to die. I have so much I want to do first. I regard the brain as a computer which will stop working when its components fail. There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark."

So you as a Christian can make fun of the handicapped and all is well? No wonder he abandoned religion. You are very wrong for that regardless of religion. Try having mentally or physically disabled family and then cut your tasteless jokes.

He is probably muttering under his breath "How did I get it all so wrong?", and he walks into Hell. This is also the same "brilliant" man who admitted that with the advancement microbiology and the more we have learned about the cosmos that our universe appears to be intelligently designed. But he went on to say that it is only an illusion and that there isn't really any intelligence behind it. It just a product of billions of year of random chance, not design. So what he was saying is that science points to an intelligent design, but that he doesn't "believe" that it actually is and "chooses" to believe that could have happened with billions of years of random chance. In other words, he chose to reject God unless he had a deathbed experience.

He wasn’t brilliant he was a fool. If the foundation of your belief system is flawed then everything that comes from that is flawed as well.

I would assume him being an atheist and all hes getting pretty hot right about now. A genius, but didnt know the only thing that really matters. I think back to where he said everything just happened and there was "no need for God". I bet hes needing God now. A life wasted, what a shame.

He wasn’t brilliant he was a fool. If the foundation of your belief system is flawed then everything that comes from that is flawed as well. I respectfully disagree. There are literally thousands of artists, writers, poets, scientists, philanthropists, inventors, composers, doctors etc that have made life better for people on this earth. A lot of these people are not Christians. They are atheist, Buddhist, Hindu and any other religion you can think of.

Just a question- why does God the wise creator of all we see and do not see, put such a brilliant mind in the frail body of a non-believer? It it to tempt others to forsake the the path to salvation. Before you say that Satan created him, we all know that Satan did not create anything, only God has that ability. If God did indeed create him, as He created all of us, He must have had a purpose in mind, just as He created Judas Iscariot to fulfil the prophecy of the Messiah. I know that Hawking had "free will" to believe what he wanted, but why could he not see the beauty of creation ad the work of God? Perhaps if Hawking had lived longer he would have made the connection, but as it is, he gave us an expansive view of the universe, maybe to let those if us who are not as brilliant see how God mysteriously put together this wonderful creation. The rules of physics, of chemistry, of biology of life itself are there, put there by the hand of God. The more we learn the more evident that becomes.

I wasn’t really speaking about Hawkins but was disagreeing with this statement “If the foundation of your belief system is flawed then everything that comes from that is flawed as well.” I’m a Christian and obviously I hate for anyone to die without giving their life to Christ!

Stop with that nonsense, haven't you figured out that most on here are able to tell you who ends up in hell and who goes to heaven with no problems whatsoever? God actually gets his advice on the subject from them off of here.
