I messed up big time the other day. I was backing a trailer into the back yard and was watching the backup camera instead of paying attention to how close I was to the privacy wood fence. I clipped the corner with my driver side mirror and jack it up pretty good. So I called the local Ford dealership and took it by there and the replacement mirror alone is $475.00 and the entire replacement is $575.00. Plus they don't paint the top part to match the truck when they install it. The service manager and I saw were the fastening connectors behind the mirror are damaged so I'll need the complete driver side mirror and housing bracket. No damage was done to the truck itself.


I looked at places like rockauto, partstrain and amazon and their prices are in line with the dealer. This mirror is for a 2013 F150 Lariat and is power folding, self dimming, heated, puddle lamp with corner convex. The internet prices I'm finding are running the same as the dealership. If I can find a junkyard that has one then I can put it on myself and save some cash. Plus I called my insurance agent and it's not worth filing a claim and lose my accident free discount.

I'll be heading North later so if y'all know of any junk yards I can call and see if they have one it will be much appreciated. I've taped it in place for the time being and can see some out of it but it's not only unsafe it's aggravating as well because I have to slump down to see out of it.

That really isn't that bad of a price. My wife knocked off the passenger mirror of my daughters mustang and it cost us almost $800 to replace it. That was late last year. And she works for Ford so that was with her discount.

Call Councelman Auto salvage in Mobile 251-330-2700. They should ship it to you. Give them your paint code and they’ll prolly have one you didn’t have to paint. They have trucks that run all over the state everyday.
If they have one and don’t are not stopping anywhere close to you, they come here almost everyday and you can pick it up here

Most wrecking yards are on line with each other and they can locate a part easily. You will probably need the last 8 of the vin code. Usually the first question the parts man ask. Ford mirrors don't come painted. $50 - $100 to get it paint matched. If you can wait look for one the right color, you will save that. Your prices are pretty good, around $500 here plus labor.

did ya check ebay??? I bought one off ebay several years ago for a good price.

Discountbodyparts .com or carparts .com also check ebay but look out some of those ebay places will sell you something for 50 bucks then charge 150 to ship it. If you can get it for a good price any body shop should be able to match the paint up for less than $50-100 just depends who you talk to. I bought a passenger rearview for a Cadillac, dealer wanted $380 unpainted got it on ebay for $75 delivered with factory matched paint.

I've called and looked at the websites y'all have recommended and I appreciate the info. So far Councilmen in Mobile gave me the number to Smith's in Walls Mississippi that has one in stock. He quoted me $450.00 but was somewhat confused on the location of the signal indicator. I told him that Chevy is in the mirror and Ford is below with a line indicator on the housing. Going to check Ebay and then get back to Smith's

Lkq or the one of 231 close to tenn state line in hazelgreen. On west side of 231 about 4 miles off hwy. I cant remember the name. Might be browns but aint sure. They are cheap
