That is great stuff. Quality time doing man stuff...building a lasting legacy of memories.

When I opened this thread and saw that picture at first, I really thought that was my old go-cart from 40 years ago! I love than grin when the engine is running but no chain. He gonna be a motorhead for sure!

Great job. He will never forget that go kart. When you’re 80 years old he’ll say “Dad, you remember that old go kart we built”.

Good Stuff! Great post.... that brings back some memories. That may be the same frame we had when we were kids. I drove into a brick wall and up under a fence once. I don't think it had brakes- I don't really remember.
Tell the little fella we enjoyed his video of the go-cart tour.

I had a two seater go cart when I was a kid. The brakes didn't last long so my grandfather built me some brakes. He made them where a metal flap would be pressed down on each back tire. It worked great. You could power slide that thing around like crazy.

teaching youngins how to use simple hand tools is almost a thing of the past. Cant tell you how many teenagers I've seen that didnt know much at all about hand tools.
