Keeping my deer rifle by the back door came in handy. Looked up from the breakfast table and saw a big one easing across the field. Grabed the a-bolt, propped on the grill
300 yards DRT. Hear them almost every night but first one I've seen in daylight.

#25 . We walked up on this big male while scouting today. We were walking on pine straw so we got within 30 before he stood up. I sqeaked at him he walked and few stepped stopped and I busted him with my granddads old 35 Marlin 336. He spun around and rolled down the hill. I killed a big female yesterday in Jackson Cty. She trailed 3 turkeys off the hill nose to the ground about an hour after they came through. She didn't like the 130gr TTSX I gave her.
