This should be pretty entertaining to follow throughout the spring. Dave makes some great videos and he's a heck of a hunter.

Maybe I missed it, but did they ever explain what the Pinhoti project was? Are they hunting the pinhoti trail?

Pinhoti is a Creek Indian name for "turkey home" or "turkey." I hiked the Pinhoti trail back as a teenager in scouts. I was so proud of that patch I got afterward because it had a turkey on it but remember being ticked off that I didn't see any turkeys on that camping/hiking trip. Sounds like they are going to have one heck of a season filming every place from Florida to wherever a turkey is gobbling. I'm gonna have to keep up with these guys. They seem like my kind of people.

I'm interested to see this. I wonder what their definition of turkey hunting videos being one dimensional is? I think I know the answer though...

My guess is they are talking about ground blinds in the middle of a field with a full strut decoy. I know it gets good footage and has its place but I like the hunts in the woods. It's more like I'm used to seeing.

I think he’s referring to the thought that hunting turkeys from March to June sounds marvelous to most folks. What they dont see is the countless hours of travel, preparation for flights and logistics when they get to their location, and the amount of sleepless nights they endure. I would say it’s going to depict the experience of chasing turkeys for that long and not all about shooting them. Either way, he will kill A pile of birds......

I'm with you on that one. They were kinda goofing off it looked like to me. I don't know how it relates to the title of the video.

Dave was on the “hunting public” podcast this week and he said he was documenting every hunt he goes in this season which is 70-80 sun rises rain or shine. It should be a lot of fun to keep up with.

I’m jealous of 70-80 sunrises in turkey season. Between work and family I don’t know if that will ever be possible. I’m shooting for 1/2 of that

I figured they would have posted a kill today. I know they hunted FL this morning, but I haven't seen any updates

That bird they shot has some mean hooks on it. Great way to start it all off.
