He will never pay and there is no way in Hell he will get a jail sentence in Wilcox County.

so; let's give out more $100 fines for no harvest tag to those that can pay

The Wilcox county game warden had no issue staking out my brand new pickup on opening morning of turkey season just to check my license and leave. Wasn't a bad experience and he was very nice...... just sounds like some major issues that need to be addressed in the area.

Folks in nice expensive pickups generally don't give any trouble and pay their fines promptly.

Can someone point me to that thread again?

It was in the thread I started a couple of weeks ago in the serious deer forum. It was called suggestions to the DCNR law enforcement. It was posted by kjoe I think.

Same reason the IRS never hassles lower income people even though a lot of them cheat on their taxes. They have nothing to take.

If anyone really wants to change what's going on around there and get justice, the land Shane was leasing should come up for lease again this year. Should be multiple opportunities from what I hear about the area. Just need a good disposal plan. Doesn't have to be a great plan cause Wilcox county doesn't have the resources or ability to figure out a whole lot. By the way, the river is not very far down the road. Just saying.

Trapping would be the best plan with the least personal liability IMO. IED inside a watermelon, chrome wheel hooked up to enough juice to fry a coon well done in a few seconds. Lemon kiwi Mad dog 20/20 filled with antifreeze....

All of those options would with 100% certainty be considered hunting over bait. It's a sure ticket if you're caught. Those three options you suggested are stronger attractants for your targeted species than corn is for deer. if you're gonna just blatantly ignore the baiting laws like that, you might also want to include a flatscreen tv, power tools that are easily pawned, 4 wheelers, riding mowers, 12 pack of Colt 45, and a logging chain spray painted gold to look like a heavy gold chain.

OK.....I posted these pics on FB today.
There have been numerous people reply, including many from the same area with the same problems! And, several of them have pics as well!!

Then, I had the awkward opportunity to speak with the murdered man’s widow, who asked me to send the pics and any info I had to the SBI Agent working the case. So, I called and had a long conversation with him and have built an email file to send him.

Next, I started getting FB Messages from a young man asking details about why we had experienced and seen/heard. I told him about my son, Seth, hearing and seeing the guys making man-drives (poaching) the same day that Shane was killed. He said, “Yeah, my Dad saw em, too...and called the GW and reported it that morning. But, he never heard back from him.” So, naturally, I asked where they hunted. After a long period....he answers back, “Across the creek from you. Shane was my stepdad!”

OMG at the emotion that overwhelmed me!!!!
Not only am I unknowingly conversing with the stepson of the murdered man.....my son witnessed the same group of poachers that he was attempting to stop when he was killed!!!

Fellas.....there is a problem here!!!

Yep, I'd take care of business and nobody would ever know. Well, the family of the missing trespassers would know, I reckon.

I'm not joking, and I doubt you are either. If the law is turning a blind eye to it, and a innocent man has already been murdered, the only solution I see is, burn, baby, burn.

IMO, y'all are either going to have to ban together and take it back, or walk away from it. Only two choices that I see.
