I had a similar thread going last week. I have found that most folks are partial to what they are familiar with. And in many cases they think it is the best because that's what they have. But unless you have compared it to the rest it's hard to say. Some will say Summit is the best if they don't have a good point of reference. I specifically worded my post last week for guys that have had experience with both the Summit and the Treewalker. I already knew what I was gonna get from the Summit guys (cause I was one), or probably the Treewalker guys if that's all they were used to. I wanted the pros and cons from unbiased point of view, someone who owns both and has no reason to choose one over the other. I was shocked at the response, it was almost unanimous that the guys who had both liked the Treewalker better, but most agreed the Summit is a good stand as well. So far I tend to like the Treewalker better as well, but haven't put enough hours in to say for sure.
Since the man asked about Summit, API, and a Treelounge...............reckon he wasn't caring about an another brand? I 've had Summit's and an API and a buddy had a treelounge. The summit works great, I hated the pins and packability of the API and I heard too much rattle on the treelounge.
