Bullock, Barbour and Russell are my favorite. Hard to beat for both quantity and quality.

In my hunting experience my favorite would have to be Dallas county.

I think the best place I ever hunted deer and turkeys was the Hammermill land in Dallas /Wilcox counties in the early 1980s.

Jackson County, outside of Stevenson. I grew up hunting my grandaddies place there and still love it. I've hunted south alabama around butler, tuscaloosa and Buckeye Lodge in Bellamy and loved the smell of pines, the good friends, great hunting, but just something about them mountains and white oak flats, big standing timber that get to me.
Finally deported myself from the peoples republik of Kaliforkistan.

Hale County - for the size. (especially areas AWAY from the national forest. The lower the land the better) Pike County - so many row-crop farmers still in the business, greenfields are very effective in the late winter, big size, big population Chilton CO - WORST

Jackson county has more 150" deer in the Alabama whitetail record book than any other county and I had a lot of success there.
If I had to pick one area to produce a b&c Buck I would say Fitzpatrick in bullock Co no doubt.

If I had to pick one area to produce a b&c Buck I would say Fitzpatrick in bullock Co no doubt. This area put off those big nasty non typicals, never hunted it but seen some from there.
