I am a tolerant person. But if this was my loved one, me and my maker would have a sit down. White or black or orange. Race would not be the issue. Your Maker has already spoken. Luke Chapter 6 verses 27-36. I know it doesn't fit our feelings, but He made us and He knows what's best. We may not understand until this is all over, but He will be proven to be right.

Some branch of Law Enforcement needs to step up and get i cloves to curb this or people are gonna take this matter into their own hands. And THAT is a fact!

this crap makes me mad. I wouldn't of stood for this in my county. Landowners down there need to call the Governors office and Attorney Generals office and DEMAND action be taken by STATE LEOs. Local LEOs ain't going to do shitt. Enough is enough. Time to get off the shitter and get to work. Past time.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I think it’s too logistically complicated for them to steal trees at this time, but I’m sure they’ll improvise a way in the future. Until then, weyhauser don’t have any problems with it.

There are some damning details of the case that will come out in the Public sooner or later.
It does not look very good for some. At least in my opinion. And, it really angers me knowing that it could have been me, or my family!
And, sadly, this is NOT the only area with this reputation. It is just in the limelight at the current time
Maybe I am wrong and the DCNR should fire all of the field personnel and just sit in offices in Montgomery and mange the State for Trophy bucks and promote private, special-interest companies and products. But, they damn sure will not be getting my license money or support if that is their goal.

I've read the thread but maybe I missed it. Has there been any press from local law enforcement of the county DA? Persons of interest or any leads? Or to early yet.

The National Guard will get called and every white out of town hunter will be under a microscope. The local thugs will use that to break in more camps and hunt anywhere they want. Bham Fred's solution from a few pages back is the only one that will work but it's not politically palatable. Unfortunately the victim wasn't well connected enough to ensure a thorough and just response. Had it been Sands Stimpson (son of Mobile Mayor) or one of the Pilot's or someone else who's family could bring a little pressure to bear on the governor this would have already been solved. The "suspects" would have died in an "accident" during the arrest or questioning. Sickening

Of course timberland owners care. Why would you think they don’t? Stolen gates and other misc theft, arson fires every season, equipment being messed with during operations, etc., etc......too long of a list to write down.
And there’s a lot of areas this type of stuff happens. These areas are known in the business. Is this area of Wilcox the worst? Possibly. But there’s an area in NE AL that’s really bad too, and it’s good ole country boys causing all the problems there. And the damages can be big $$.

Just saw that Wilcox County was 24/7 Wall Street's selection as the worst county in Alabama to live in. "The racial makeup of the county was 71.90% Black or African American" ; there you go
