I'm prolly gonna get a new climber here soon, the 3 I'm looking at are Summit, API or tree lounge.
I have never had a summit, they look comfy and lightweight. I think I like their cable system better than the pin system.
API is just a dang good stand, they bite really well, lightweight, comfy.
I have never seen a treelounge in real life. They look comfy, are they heavy, loud, a pain to set up, etc.
If the treelounge is a bad idea I will probably just look for the best deal I can get on a API or a Summit.

Had a tree lounge for a few years until it was stolen. Really comfortable but I found it to be more of a hassle than anything.
I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Summit myself.
Never had or tried an API.

I used a Tree Lounge quite a bit about 10 years ago...They are great once up the tree and hunting...but everything else about them SUCKS in my opinion....perhaps they have made them easier to put on/off the tree and climb now but they were a pain!!
Never used and API...
I have a Summit Titan and ABSOLUTELY love it!!!!!!

No to tree lounge. Unless you use it like a lock on. Mines been in the basement for 5 years. Hate it. Unless your climbing a smooth power pole your gonna be sweating by the time you get up. Also getting it on the tree is LOUD and a pain in the butt. I like an ole man.

I have had the lounge and 2 summits. Lounge was comfy and has its place. If you buy one, leave it in the woods. Loud to put up. On a good cold morning with the tree nest in the lounge, it is tough to beat though.
The summit is good all around. I don't think you will be disappointed in the summit

API heavy,not as comfortable
Summit seems good
OL Man is what i use have several different ones easy,quiet,comfy, and now they are safe

Summit. I have several, I've even tried the millinium climber and went back to Summit.
IMO, the API seat doesn't last as long as the summit. I had to replace one and eventually gave that uncomfortable stand to a friend who wanted it.

I have used them all you are talking about.
I about lost my life in a Tree Lounge. Those things don't grip for nothing. I slid down a big oak 25 feet as I was climbing up it. I will never, ever recommend a person using this stand.
API is pretty good. I have the older grand slam super mag. It is big and heavy. I leave it out and lock it to trees.
Summit wise, I got the viper and it is ok as long as I don't wear cold weather clothes. If so, it gets really cramped.
I have used all these plus ol man stands, and if I were buying one today, I would get the Treewalker. Hands down the best I have ever been in.

Get a Summit, You won't be sorry. I have the goliath. I am looking into the new dead metal stand. Never slips, waivers or makes me worry about going high up. I won't have anything but a Summit.

I once had a treelounge, and it is definitely the most comfortable treestand I've ever used...once you're up the tree and have it securely tied off.
IMO, it has the worst foot climber on the market. I used a platform I built...then it was great to leave in the woods, on one tree, for rut all-day hunts.
I've used an ole man for years simply due to the portability.
The summit's I've used are fairly comfortable for 5-6 hrs only, but they're fairly portable and pretty quiet going up a tree.
Do yourself and your family a favor, and use a good harness...all the way up, while hunting, and down. It just doesn't take but about 2-3 more minutes to move your strap while climbing. IMHO.

I guess I'm going against popular opinion here, but I'd definitely go with a SUMMIT.  Best stand out there. If I can sit still in one for 4-6 hours it's got to be dang comfortable.

Tree lounger is so comfortable it is hard staying awake, I have found it digs into the tree well but one of the guys are right in the fact a straight tree is best or you spin/turn. it is one you want to leave attached to tree and not move every hunt.
Work hard, have fun afterwards

Some of you guys may be to young to remember the Baker stand. It was a death trap and an accident waiting to happen. That is what I used back in the day.I am now 48 years old and I lost my nerve and confidence in useing a climbing stand about ten years ago and would only hunt out of a ladder stand or a shooting house. My success for harvesting a big buck was very limited. This year I won a Summit Goliath dead metal stand and I love it. I am 6 foot, 225 lbs and have plenty of room to move around. It is very safe and made in Alabama too. Ya'll please always wear a safety harness no matter which stand you use.
