so that I can "legally" catch a fish? Do the fish belong to the state? I have my licence, but it seems stupid that I have to pay to fish. Is it just a money grab, and when did it all start? And No, I didn't get a ticket. I just think that it is BS to have to have a licence to fish.

You have to pay to hunt,pay to carry concealed etc. . Thievery is all it is

I was watching some game warden show earlier, and the warden about pitched a fit because the hook wouldn't come out of the bass' mouth. It was just some guy catching a small bass from a bridge. I don't know why it pissed me off.

Well, I think it's BS to pay several hundred dollars a month in property tax just to live in my house. But the government is only there by our consent. If it gets bad enough, we'll have to change things up.

Do you think there should be no game and fish laws? We've got laws about lots of things. And enforcement of those laws. Hunting and fishing is one of the few rights we have to pay to exercise.

Then the PEOPLE of this country, the sportsmen and women, pushed for legislation to regulate game and fish. State agencies were formed to regulate within their boundaries, which can not be done without funding. License sales fund game and fish restoration, regulation, conservation, education and enforcement. Without the sale of licenses you wouldn't have any fish to catch.

And as with any other government agency they completely run rough-shod over everyone. We need to see your license, your permit, your orange, how many bullets you got, size of your orange, which fish is it, how long is it, where'd you get it from, your boat registered, how big is that life preserver?, how old is he?, ...

Do you think there should be no game and fish laws? I think that I should be able to catch a few crappie off of a dock on the Coosa on Lay Lake.
