If you had to choose one county or region of the state to hunt for deer and turkeys what county/region would it be and why?

In Bama, Marengo, Dallas or Wilcox. Hunted with friends in all three and never seen so many deer. Its also reasonable driving distance.

Marengo, Hale, Pickens have to be my favorite. Deer , turkey, hogs, ducks, etc. Been hunting there for 25yrs, loved every minute of it.
Success is uncommon, therefore is not enjoyed by the common man.

In state, I'll have to stick to the mountains of Jackson County...I have a love/HATE relationship with mountains but I've done 99% of hunting in these mountains and have grown to appreciate the difficultly they present....

Only one person so far has commented on deer AND turkey. Lets keep this going. I want to hear everyone's opinion on why somewhere is their favorite.

My place in Jackson Co. I own it and if I don't like the club rules I change them.  Have owned it for bout 25 years, I know what the deer are gonna do before they do. I enjoy land and wildlife management on it.

I have hunted in quite a few counties over the years but I moved to West Jefferson county last year and I am enjoying it alot more than I thought I would but mainly because I get to hunt ALOT more with it being 16 miles from my house plus the deer are as big or bigger than what I have hunted in other counties.
