10-4 Makes sense. I've only talked to him once and he seemed like a good guy. What happened to the other Wilcox officer, I thought there were two assigned to the county? Did he recently retire? There was a different guy that would respond if we had issues on the Thomasville property. He was a no nonsense type guy that did a seriously good job and followed up after the fact. Very professional and took care of business. Why wouldn't the Clarke, Marengo and Wilcox guys all be working together in the area in question given the proximity of the county lines right there. It would seem like with that being a known "hot" area, and having been so for the last 3-5 years, why wouldnt efforts and manpower be concentrated there to help get it cleaned up. Dan Quincey Heckuva good guy! He has relocated to another County.

I don't blame him for needing another officer with him after the shooting. Would you want to, patrol by yourself knowing help is at least 30 minutes away? Not to de-rail this thread (because it is important), but...when seconds count, LE is mere minutes away. Sounds familiar don't it? Yet common folk can't carry a handgun (in their vehicle) for protection without paying the greedy sheriffs first. Sorry...back to the murder in little mogadishu.

I find it difficult to believe they didn't find a shoe print that a cast could be made of on the way back to the trailer. they would see the person in the shoes afterwards guaranteed. Plus I bet there was a finger print on the shell they supposedly found.
State police need to step up and set this ship straight. Otherwise I hope everyone in the area shoots first and asks questions later with every confrontation with these baboons. You will Have a Black D.A. , black judge and all black jury when you go to trial. Years ago a white store owner was having his store burglarized several times a week. He locked up one night and stayed in the store .The burglar came back and when he broke the glass door and came inside the man killed him. The sheriff and D.A. brought it to the grand jury several times trying to get him indicted! This went on for several years trying to get him charged with murder. Reasons why I live in Arab for a $1k.

Damn shame for the wife and kids for the culprits to get away with cold blooded murder.

Cant believe anything you hear. In my head the guy got murdered. No evidence to do anything. The law reaches out to the area and no one wants to talk. Sounds like that area hates cops and cops dont usually care for areas like that. I know one thing. I might be a dummy but i got more sense than to go rambling in some areas or your asking for trouble. Wether your in the rite or not. I hate it for his family. Its terrible. Im sure the thugs will strike again. I hope they get justice and a little peace of mind but until the thugs turn on each other. Its probably over. I never heard of this incident. If it were not for aldeer i never woulda heard of it. Thats another shame
