Very few palaces left big enough to run good hounds. I stopped when the dog lease got smaller than 35,000 acres and we couldn't keep them on it. Mine went 12 miles one night and got in a fox pen. Talk about a pain in the tail bone. I couldn't imagine trying to run these small 2 to 5,000 acre tracts. I know this We have about 1500 acres in our little co - op I have a,bit over 100 myself and when dogs come through my little home place we dont see anything for 3 to 5 days. Thats just truth. So the guy huntibg sat and sun ONLY and only has say 75 acre hes pretty much screwed. Unless there's a very hig deer population and its just so good everyone's eating rainbow stew and farting cotton candy. Fact is dog hunters are going to ruin it for themselves.
