That probably won't work in this situation.

The only ones that know are the ones that did it.
And, according to the locals, they all have the same story.......they did not do it. But, they have seen 'a white dude up outta Mobile' that had been slipping in there poaching. They are all family and VERY clannish!!!!!

The LEO's know that one of them did it.
BUT, without being able to prove which one it was, they have no way to make an arrest and get a conviction.

I gotta admit, it would be a tough case for an LEO.

But, that should not deter them from having enough of a presence there to make the lawbreakers uneasy!

I hear you hog. I know that if I was going to poach, that's exactly what I'd do. I'd drive 2.5 hrs from Mobile to slip in on someone's lease in an average at best area surrounded by a bunch of inbred local dope heads that are liable to steal the axles, tires and maybe even the engine off my vehicle and I'm going to do all my poaching with a shotgun in the daylight. Yep, very plausible story. You'd think that they could have come up with something better than that. Sounds like the only way the family is going to get justice is for 30 or 40 of the guy's friends from Mobile to ride up there one night and just happen to be on his back property line target shooting a couple or 300 rounds in the woods there behind that trailer and most of them find their way into hitting that trailer. You know. His friends showed up to drink beer and have a memorial for their friend and had no clue that trailer was back there through the woods. A couple had brought guns and they started target shooting. Same situation. If they all have the same story, there is no way to know who actually pulled the trigger and shot them, on accident of course. Just a tragic accident.
