You guys watch out for black painters down there. They'll steal you blind....or shoot you.

There ain't no black "painters" in that area of NW Wilcox. Painting is considered labor and is hard, time consuming work. rofl
You certainly wont find any of that going on from the locals down there. Cooking meth, growing dope, riding the roads, selling drugs, stealing from working citizens, or sitting on the porch drinking colt 45's is what the locals do down there.

I have (soon to be had) a lease off WP road between the shooting and Highway 5. We haven't had any vehicles broken into or seen any evidence of poaching, other than the amazing lack of decent deer. I always put shovels and post hole diggers around my truck when I hunt. I know those guys won't get anywhere near those.
I have wondered about Neal and that group of guys between our lease and Highway 5. He seems like a nice enough guy, but I am not sure I trust him. He has a lot of antlers on his cleaning shack by the road. Seems like more than a rabbit hunter. Anyone know his story ?

I truly wonder if people know that they can actually go to the first page of a post and see the entire story.

Damn Chad that was me that stopped in the white F150. Never occurred to me that might have been you.

Was that you in the new F150, there were quite a few that stopped. Had a couple stop and ask if we were stuck....as my truck is half buried in the woods, with my trailer 30 yards behind me. I found that quite funny. I appreciate you stopping, had lots of folks asking to help.

Like I said earlier....I missed it or it didn’t work, and asked for links....and nobody had them. Also, I guess I shoulda put a winking smiley for the folks with lower thought processes to get the sarcasm/facetiousness. Irony.

That one worked. Searches turned up nothing on it. Thank you.

Not exactly true. They have stolen culverts out of woods roads, by digging them out of the ground with picks and shovels. I’ve seen it first hand on company roads.

This is true; our landowner told me the same thing. Said they dug up culverts put in by Weyerhauser and sold for scrap. Takes real work ethic( and a bad addiction) to do that for so little. Said they also stole and cut up gates for scrap.

10 pages. I’m sure I skimmed through, just trying to get to the details actually reported, and missed it off the bat. The ‘official’ details are still sketchy and vague, though.

No doubt about it!

That is one of the major 'gripes' that most have with the whole ordeal.
The lack of info and lack of real LEO involvement.

I have gotten most of my info from a hired hand on the farm where my camp is.
He lives by the trailer that the dog tracked to.......

Unfortunately, since it's an ongoing investigation, details will be few and far between.. I know that the case is being worked as best as it can be..

Perhaps a few law enforcement roadblocks might help find these folks and possibly a few "harvest" record violators. Double-win situation.
