Y'all reckon skip ain't responded because he's been out crappie fishing all night or something? Maybe he actually killed the deer, and this fellers buddy seen the pic and stole it and was trying to be the cool guy and pull one over. Maybe Alice actually never laid hands or an eye on it. Maybe skip is a big buck killer. Maybe not tho.
This could all be figures out pretty easy if anyone on here had ever met skip in person.
