when i left Willie Powell Rd. that morning, my buddy and I both said something was up. All of the locals were standing out on the road talking, standing around cars talking it was really strange. Usually when we leave out around 11:00 we see no one outside. that morning was different.

in any of those Blackbelt counties it has been hard to get a majority black jury to do much of anything to locaL BLACKS. The black POS that killed Gulf States warden Jimmy Vines got 10 years for manslaughter. He would of been found NOT GUILTY if it wern't for four Eutaw white women on the jury who told the blacks on the jury they would be there till hell froze over before they voted not guilty. The jury blacks wanted to go home and found the man guilty of manslaughter. Justice huh????

Thats the thing we only heard one, to me it sounded like a rifle shot...it is just strange. I heard the same thing about the tracking dog. I heard Pine Hill is crawling with Wardens/Police/State Police. The location they pinpointed on the map in this story puts it right on one of our gates. Sadly, I'm not sure the state will put much resources on tracking down the killer(s). The county sure isn't going to do anything. The state sees crime in the rural areas as not worth pursuing. DAs have to plead it down to next to nothing cause they can't go before a black jury that won't likely convict. It's just how it is in the Black Belt. Such is life here. So what your saying if a few disappear they won't be tracking their killers ?

If it was a local, maybe, but this guy seemed to have quite a few friends down in Mobile. Judging by the fact that it's now on the news down there and some of his friends being pretty well connected, I'm willing to bet that the local sheriff is being told to stand aside and it will be handled by outside state enforcement that dont give a rip about the local culture up there. His wife is calling for justice to be served and I've heard that numerous calls have already been made to Montgomery. Sandy Stimpson is the Mobile mayor and he's very well connected and also large landowner in Clarke County so he's familiar with the area. If he gets involved, things will happen. Now as far as the prosecution goes, unless they push for a change of venue or can rig/stack the jury box, you're 100% correct, it'll be very hard to get a conviction against a black man in Wilcox county with a mostly dark colored jury. They simply will not vote to convict one of their own regardless of what the evidence says.

I live in Thomasville. So, I am only 30 miles away.
And, I have a camper behind Abe's Mother-in-Law's house out in his pasture.
I am up there a lot.
Heck, my wife is up at Abe's with his wife, Helen today. Danny are you talking about Abe Cook? Didn't they beat him pretty bad and rob him about a year or so ago?

This new gave me chills. The next morning at 5:15 My neighbors that are good friends with the victim told me. ( As I'm on my way to try and Catch the fool's on my land. Made me turn right around and put my TC up and grab my A.R.15
It's going on everywhere and we are not going to get ANY right NOT ANY Help from the DNR or law enforcement. So y'all keep your powder dry..MudBug..
