Guess I'm the queer in the bunch, I've used it all, but most of the time now I throw them on spinning gear. It's just more comfortable for me to work the bait, the reel is beneath and the angles / hand position just is less tiring. Without looking, the rod I'm currently using is a Powell 6-10 Med Fast, with one of the new Daiwa BG 2000 reels. Use Berkley NanoFil with a short 10# flouro leader. I can throw that rascal however far I want to!
