It's gonna get to the point if they are armed and you see them coming, you'll need shoot them on sight and claim self defense. If only one has a gun shoot that one and wait till the other picks it up and shoot that one too...
If only you leave the scene it's you word against the dead guy...
"Yep, I was in the tree. I had no where to run. I did what I had to do because I felt threatened and couldn't retreat."
Of course the physical evidence would need to support that story.
