Even if you can't afford it, buy a John Deere. It will be an investment and you will be very pleased with it. I bought a 38 HP three years ago even though we are tractor poor. I got tired of using one of the big tractors to do a small job in a tight place. It is paid for, and is now our go to tractor. It is used at least once a week and the big crabbed tractors sit until time to feed hay every three days.
I am looking now for another Deere just to bale hay with. It will not be an off brand tractor. I have no problem paying extra for something that will be here still running when I am dead and gone. I get it, I just refuse to go into to debt for a tractor when I have the cash. Pretty much the exact same tractor is double the price for a JD. My dad swears by Kubota, used his until I finished school and bought my own place last year. My Grandad swore by JD, I guess it always come down to money and I have a hard time financing something when I don't have to.

Be a man of principle. Fight for what you believe in. Keep your word. Live with integrity. Be brave. Believe in something bigger than yourself. Serve your country. Teach. Mentor. Give something back to society.
