I know an off duty Officer that was in a bank with a friend when two black men came in and robbed the bank. They made everyone lay on the floor. Officer decided to let em go as there were several other folks in the bank and was worried about a shootout inside the bank. The younger robber kept saying he was going to shoot someone and got more agitated. Officer decided the crazy robber WAS going to shoot someone, pulled his concealed handgun and killed BOTH of the robbers.
He never would of gotten that chance if he had been carrying open for the robbers to see.
