a Birmingham lawyer I know sued two poachers in civil court after getting convictions in Criminal Court. He won a $10,000 judgement against both of them.
Go home and tell yer wife you just got hammered to the tune of $10,000 for a hunting violation. LOL
I've read of several cases like that in other states; glad to hear it's been done in AL too. I think you would need several documented violations to get a jury to award you much money, but just making them hire a lawyer and defend themselves would likely get their attention more than a misdemeanor fine.
I would like to see the pictures too, but posting them might be risky to yourself. Our legal system is not at all fair, and it could come back on you.
