I'm gonna lobby for a pen to be required.
I guess we could use a turkey feather quill and blood ink, but a pen is so much easier.

I may have taken it to a stretch but the LEOs and/or GWs are putting people in positions they shouldn't be in. You shouldn't have to know the law to protect yourself from the situations that should never be happening in the first place. That's an ethical issue from the very first wrong or improper question asked. It's an emotional reaction to the thread that has now started to build on hypothetical situations. There is no indication other than someone that said G&F were doing a roadblock. Now it has expanded to people are being arrested and rights are being violated. If you don't have a pen you are going to prison etc. I do find it ironic that folks want to talk about rights and not talking to LEOs but want to know the number to Game and Fish because their neighbor has corn out or they heard Jim Bob has shot the big buck they had on camera and Game and fish wont do anything. It’s G&F’s F’n job to check on baiting complaints. Not participating in fishing expedition roadblocks. I find it ironic a citizen of the US of A is surprised when another one is aware of and decides to put into practice unalienable rights endowed by their.creator. paste copy of the Declaration of Independence here

Yes, It acts in lieu of paper harvest record,if you choose to do it that way,probably the easiest, pen controversy avoided

I'm not surprised or being critical of those who are aware of their rights. How you interpreted that is beyond me. The ones I don't understand are those that claim LEO's aren't doing their job while in the same breath advise people not to talk to them.

It is your right not to talk to them so you are critical of those that exercise that right If one is going to complain because they didn't arrest Jim Bob for spotlighting and then turn around and tell Jim Bob don't talk to them then that person isn't very bright.

i feel you’ve combined your two arguments into one. 1st you got into calls complaining about the acts of others. Then in what I felt was a seperate line of thought you gave a dig to those encouraging others to keep their mouths shut when questioned by LEO’s.

Seriously, if I'm required to have my harvest record (and say I don't have a smart phone) then shouldn't I also have a pen to write with?
I mean if it's okay to leave the deer or turkey laying, while I go back to retrieve a pen, then it should be legal to leave it laying while I go back to retrieve my harvest record. As long as I don't move the animal, why should I have either one (pen or harvest record) on me? Be careful making common sense statements like that.
