A pen won't do much good. Sure can't write on the screen of my phone.

Why do you have to have a pen to drive your truck?

Hmm. I heard about another one from last night to. Anybody find out if this is legal or did I miss that thread. They police and sheriffs have given up on road blocks for insurance and licenses around here.

If I ever roll up on one of those roadblocks, I'd say there's better than 50% odds that I'm gonna get tazed. If I'm driving my truck down the road while wering camo, and have to play 50 questions about hunting at a road block, I'm gonna get a pissy attitude real quick.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Why do you have to have an ink pen to coyote and pig hunt?

Don't these guys have a yearly meeting or get together where they cover this stuff and get on the same page?
Coulda sworn one of the "connected" guys on here said the idea that a hunter needs an ink pen in his possession, in addition to a paper license, is bull-doo doo. But maybe I am mis-remembering.

If you’re a common sense person, you probably don’t feel you have a home in this world right now. If you’re a Christian, you know you were never meant to.

You ARE required to have a Pen or Pencil and PAPER Harvest Record in possession during your hunt according to the Mandatory Game Check sheet I saw.
Your Smart Phone with the app is an acceptable form of reporting but, what if your battery is dead? Or you drop it from your stand or in a creek? You would still need to have a way to record before moving the animal.
At least we can finally hunt over bait in Bama though, right?

I was at one of those meetings where Sykes said the app was good enough. I downloaded the app. I don think I even have paper copy of my license.
And I'm all for law enforcement doing it's job but I believe I can put on camo and ride around with a loaded gun and I've broken no laws.

This is what the 5th amendment is for. And the 4th. The 5th is all fine and dandy until you’re cornered by a gaggle of game wardens in downtown Kennedy, Alabama. The whole refusing to answer questions or allowing a search is just gonna piss them off. You gotta figure out a way to let them down easy.

That is INCORRECT You need either a Harvest Record or the Game Check App while hunting. Once you've killed an animal, it must be recorded via either the app or paper record prior to moving the animal. Not having a pen/pencil is not a violation

I don't do good with petty stuff like that. I'd turn into a smart azz real quick. Who's to say I'd been hunting? Or maybe im going to the pen store to buy a pen? Like doekiller said, my first question would be, why is it required to have a pen while driving my vehicle down the road.
