Were aggressively hitting top water and flukes during that rain sunday morning. I had a ball but didnt catch anything over 2 1/2 lbs. i tried some deeper running crank baits but never got a hit. Anyone ever catchem crankin on Smith.

I've caught some before on Norman Deep Little N in chartreuse-blue back or crawfish on rock banks.

IF they're chasing flukes, you might try a wake bait in shad color like a Mann's Baby 1-Minus. Or get a big ol' Pencil Popper, or a Redfin or Rapala stickbait - a big one - and wake them slowly

Never tried a mans minus but a Norman Deep middle N is what i was throwing (in Sexy shad and lavender). Also thought they were deeper so I threw a DD22. I did throw a stick bait old Rapala and a Smithwick but I cranked them down and twitched em. I killed them 2 years ago for 2 weeks doing this in early summer on bluffs but I havent done it since and I never waked the baits last Sunday. Found some hunting land too. Im looking forward to hunting down there some. BEAUTIFUL on SMith

how do you fish in the day?the last time i tried it was like the ocean with all the boats out there.
