Which would you bring with you bring to bama. Both group equally well. I need to sight in 1 rifle, basically a spare because the kids will be using the other 30-06.

are you shooting the bonded core lokt? I'd be scared the 150 would come apart going that fast. you getting good exit wounds with those?

My Dad shot 150 grain Core-Lokts in his 30-06 for years with no issues.

Hornady Interbond. If all I had to use was core lokts, I wouldn't hunt.

I am gonna go out on a limb and say Cor-lok is not Rebelman's ammo of choice.

Don’t matter, both will kill equally well.

Nothing at all wrong with either bullet, but I don't have confidence in Remington primers firing. I've seen more misfired Remingtons at the range while picking up brass than anything else.

165 grain core lokts in a 30-06 are all I used for many years. very lethal combination, 99% DRT. I had a lot of accuracy issues shooting the 180 grain out of a 300 weatherby mag. that gun would turn the jackets inside out and the core always separated on impact. even the 180 grain core lokts did not always get a pass through out of it.

I'll never trust a Remington core lokt to go off when I pulled the trigger. Absolutely 0 faith in them and there is much better ammo available for a few dollars more

Federal Fusion or Nosler Partition or Accubond. Core Loc will do a fine job if thats all you got. I never was a hornady fan.

Either. But, every deer I've shot with a rifle has been with a 150gr core-lokt. Well almost all, I did kill one with a Hornady light magnum.

I've shot core-lokts in .308, 30-06 and .243 for 24 years and have literally shot thousands of them. Not a single misfire ever. It ain't the primers. I'd check crappy equipment before blaming the primer. There's absolutely nothing wrong with core-lokts. I've killed hundreds of deer with them. That's a fact, not an exaggeration.
