We like about 8-9 per year. That usually consists of 1-2 bucks and the rest 85 pound plus does. Now if someone kills 3 mature bucks, poundage speaking that's really close to the same amount. We don't save rib meat but utilize everything else for ground meat. The Bubba Gump list goes something like this at our house: Fried deer meat and gravy, fajitas, tacos, deer burgers, stuffed peppers, spaghetti, chili, deer roll ups with bacon, ground meat jerky, snack sticks, lasagna, roast with gravy in a dutch oven, corned deer (same as beef but you need a recipe, sauteed loin medallions, stroganoff, hash, manwiches or sloppy joes, grilled tenderloin wrapped in bacon like a beef filet...off the top of my head.

I killed two last year and ran out a few months ago. Being a college student, I save money by just harvesting the meat myself and cooking it! Ill try for three this year.
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

I am just happy if I can get one. I would like a couple but I dont have much time to hunt. Got 0 last year.
I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

I mean, if they're eating them, then more power to them.....I just don't see how anyone eats that much meat.
They are. He put up 13 three years ago and they ran out. They eat something almost every meal; also do some other things like chili for church socials, etc. It doesn't go to waste. He process his own or pay to have it done?

We try to put 4-5 in the freezer a year and normally real close to running out by the time gun season opens every year. We rarely buy any red meat from the store. The property owners of the places I hunt normally get some meat as well.

3 is good for my wife and I. Never have any left over. Once my son gets old enough, we may boost it up to 4 haha

One a year because we split a steer 3 ways with other family. All kids away at college or moved out working, so this lasts us all year. burger, tenderloins, back straps and some jerky.

We ration one. Two is enough. I don't agree with donating an animal. Kill what you eat.

4 years in a row Ive killed 1 buck with one doe one of them years. One deer gets enough sausage to get me almost back around to deer season. Cant stand cleaning deer and a doe just isnt worth it to me

I have no pretense that the wild game I put in the freezer is expensive but I refuse to quantitate the price. Nice by-product of my hobby is the way I view it.

I kill 2 a year and my freezer has quite a bit of deer from last year in it. No one eats it but me. People do enjoy the jerky I make. Im fixing to make a little jerky and give away some meat.
