165 sst will drop them in their tracks from 50 to 350! I like them for open shots, but he said he is shooting in thick stuff. I wouldn't want and expansion tip bullet in that. he needs something clunky to punch through the brush. he won't need the extra ballistics for a super long range shot. and yes, it would be nice to drop them as quickly as a SST can do, but I'm afraid his bullet won't hit deer intact if he clips some brush. Core-Lokt is the best heavy brush deer bullet you can get IMHO The idea of a "brush busting" bullet is horsechitt.
