What's needed to scout WMAs? I know hunting license and wma permit, anything else? Ok to scout before gun hunts? Info appreciated.

You only need a license and permit to hunt. Scouting is no different than if you're on a nature walk.

Put your boots on and get after it. I don’t go anywhere without my pistol so make sure if you do carry a pistol you have a permit. Other than that go after it

Also keep in mind some people might be out bow hunting. Had someone walk up on me in the middle of the morning a few weeks ago. yes, looking for escape routes. Mainly will be scouting mid week.

If it were me and I was scouting this week I would definitely have my smokepole with me. If you scout and hunt at the same time you might catch one slippin. You never know.
I would rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

Dont need a pistol permit if it 8s open carry. But if it concealed you need one. But try scouting as far away from parking arras as your legs can go.
