What's needed to scout WMAs? I know hunting license and wma permit, anything else? Ok to scout before gun hunts? Info appreciated.

You only need a license and permit to hunt. Scouting is no different than if you're on a nature walk.

Put your boots on and get after it. I don’t go anywhere without my pistol so make sure if you do carry a pistol you have a permit. Other than that go after it

Also keep in mind some people might be out bow hunting. Had someone walk up on me in the middle of the morning a few weeks ago.

yes, looking for escape routes. Mainly will be scouting mid week.

If it were me and I was scouting this week I would definitely have my smokepole with me. If you scout and hunt at the same time you might catch one slippin. You never know.

Dont need a pistol permit if it 8s open carry. But if it concealed you need one. But try scouting as far away from parking arras as your legs can go.

Just be sure the management area you are scouting has a muzzle loader hunt if your taking it on the management area..
