They need to let us use snares on coyotes.

One of my good friends got a picture of a bobcat dragging a full grown doe across a foodplot last week. The bobcat had the deer by the throat.

I imagine if a bobcat can take down a deer, 2 or 3 coyotes could do it every night.

If I could figure out how to post pictures, I'd post a picture of the bobcat with the doe.

This how so many of the studies become flawed. You see the bobcat eating a deer carcass and you immediately assume the bobcat killed the deer. When it's far likely the bobcat found a dead deer and took advantage of the free meal.

Didn't someone post a video of a bobcat attacking a deer a couple of years ago? I know I was surprised to see it.

You think fishing is unethical? Just a trot line for yotes. I know it's illegal to do, but I just think it's hilarious the double standards we have on how certain animals are killed. Some we can poison some we can't, some we can trap some we can't, some to shoot some we can't......

A trot line for coyotes? Give me a break. The fish don't hang in the air from their mouth until their neck breaks under their own weight or they suffocate. Also, fish don't have nerve endings in their mouths, so they don't feel that excruciating pain. Treble hooks for coyotes is a sick thing to do.

Your right fish are thrown on ice to either freeze or suffocate. or what about hooking a fish through its back and using as live bait, and trolling it behind the boat for hours. Poor little blue runner. Or what about the video posted on here a while back where folks were hunting yotes with wolf hounds, and the pack would catch a live yote and rip him limb from limb while still alive. Or heck even using catch hog dogs. What's humane and what's not? My point is the double standard folks have about the "right" way to kill things.

I honestly don't care how you kill yotes as long as you kill them.

I was watching a nice little 4 point one evening in a new green field we had. Out of nowhere comes a Boone and Crockett bobcat in full on pursuit. Came from the brush and tried to jump the 4 point. The deer left quick and the cat looked around for a second. Yes, I shot at him. I missed. I was young and really excited about what I had seen. I never ever thought I would see a bobcat try that. Not on a grown deer.

Last year, I was lucky enough to watch from my shooting house a doe and her fawn feeding in front of me in the field. Out my left window I see a large bobcat slinking toward me in a cleared shooting lane adjacent to the field where the deer are. As the cat begins to enter the field it pauses. The doe looks toward it and blows which sends the fawn scurrying out of the field away from the cat. The cat starts toward the doe and the doe starts toward the cat stomping and blowing and pitching a fit to the point that the cat turns tail and runs away. Coolest thing I've seen in a while.
