Matt, me and you almost always on the same page, this post is same sentence, word for word! You nailed it! I hunt more than 10 days a year, but I stay outa big buck core areas, jumping around shooting does till the "time is right."

I don't have any secrets. Just hunt smart, and put your time in. Limit pressure. If the conditions are not right for hunting a particular area then go fishing, or shopping with the wife. Don't waste time hunting 24/7 when conditions are not favorable. When I figured that out I started killing a lot of bucks. I could probably hunt less than 10 days a year and have just as much success as hunting 40 days a year if I picked those days accordingly.
