If you have some live shad, the creek channel just southeast of Chimney Rock has produced some really good stripers this year. We missed the state record there last year by just 1/4 lb. If you have a good depth finder, head up the channel of the creek towards the mouth, it is probably 80 feet deep where we caught them. Also, you can catch them running planer boards in the same area and just east of Chimney Rock. Several good channels around that area where stripes tend to hang out.
There are no catfish near Bama Park.
